Services

We are the survey panel building experts and study design experts. If you want to build a large probability-based or non-probability panel, we’ve been integral in the design, build-out, and maintenance of large general population panels as well as smaller focal groups, such as youth panels or nicotine user panels.

For individual studies, we’re here to guide you through every phase of the survey lifecycle, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and insightful research process. Whether you need assistance with a single stage of a study or full-service support of the study’s full cycle, AccuSurvey Consulting ensures you get the most accurate and actionable insights.

Turn questions into clear business answers

From designing questions and selecting the right sample to conducting deep-dive data analysis, AccuSurvey tailors our services to your specific needs. We can help you with one or all of the following components in the research process:

1. Research question development

This is where it all begins: defining the key questions your research aims to answer.

We work alongside you to ensure all research questions are well-defined, setting us up for a survey that collects meaningful, actionable data rather than vague or unfocused responses. We take broad goals, like “assessing customer satisfaction”, and refine it into specific, measurable research questions.

Optional inclusion: Focus groups

These are small-group discussions to explore how people conceptualize issues. These are sometimes performed to better understand public perception, which helps us make better survey questions and identify potential biases.

2. Study design

This step is all about determining how the survey will be conducted (online, phone, in-person, etc.) and who will be surveyed to ensure accurate representation.

Different methods yield different response rates and data quality, depending on the target audience. We analyze your target demographic and desires to find the most likely method to get you the people you want to focus on.

Using industry best practices, we determine the right number of respondents to deliver a robust margin of error while maximizing insights. Our team ensures your sample size is optimized to balance statistical confidence, cost-efficiency, and feasibility. And don’t worry, you have choices – less expensive opt-in samples versus more expensive probability-based samples. We can help you determine which might be better for your research questions and budget.

3. Questionnaire development

So, we know what to ask…now it’s all about how to ask it. Let us help you create clear, unbiased, and structured questions that yield reliable data.

Poorly worded questions lead to lack of clarity for participants, misleading responses and unusable data. Instead of asking, “Do you agree that our product is great?” we refine the question to, “How satisfied are you with this product?”

And even though you may have a clear question, we focus on ensuring the most accurate responses. Based on research, we will recommend responses that provide the most reliable, valid, and predictive results.

Optional inclusion: Cognitive pretesting

This optional step includes testing the questionnaire with a small sample to ensure respondents understand the questions as intended. Taking the time to pretest helps identify confusing wording or misinterpretations before full deployment, allowing for revisions that enhance clarity and ease of completion.

4. Data collection

This is the big one…actually implementing the survey, collecting responses, and coding data. Due to our depth of experience with survey practitioners, we pick with the highest quality survey vendors for sampling, questionnaire programming, mailings, and data collection and then monitor quality at all stages of data collection. This can include programming the questionnaire (if it’s to be administered online) or designing with exacting details paper surveys that allow for easy self-administration.

This process includes quality control measures such as checking for incomplete or inconsistent responses and flagging potential issues before analysis. Proper execution of data gathering ensures high-quality responses and reliable data.

5. Data weighting

After we have the data, it’s crucial to fairly adjust survey responses to better reflect the target population.

Data weighting ensures that survey results align with the actual demographic composition of the target population. This process corrects for sampling imbalances by applying statistical weights to underrepresented or overrepresented groups, ensuring that the final analysis accurately reflects reality.

6. Data analysis

Our skills in data analysis lie in interpreting the collected data through various statistical methods.

Once the data is collected and cleaned, the real insights begin to emerge. Statistical techniques uncover trends, correlations, and patterns that provide meaningful conclusions. Whether through cross-tabulations, regression analysis, or sentiment tracking, our team distills the raw data into key takeaways that drive informed decision-making.

7. Reporting and methodology

All the data in the world isn’t worth a damn if you can’t understand what it’s telling you. We pride ourselves with presenting findings in a clear, actionable narrative that includes our survey methodology and results.

A well-structured report turns raw numbers into actionable intelligence. We present findings in clear, visually compelling formats that make the data easy to understand and apply. Transparency is key, so we also document the research methodology, detailing how the survey was conducted and any adjustments made during analysis.

8. Identifying further research needs

Let’s keep a good thing going: we’re always available to use past findings to refine future research questions and continue the cycle. We examine what gaps in knowledge still remain or become identified as a result of new data.

Every survey opens the door to new questions. Based on the findings, we help organizations determine what areas need further exploration or refinement. This iterative approach ensures that research remains dynamic and responsive to emerging trends and insights.

Let’s design a research strategy that delivers meaningful insights that inspire action.
